About this project

An atmospheric, editorial portfolio for a London tattoo artist — built to let the artwork itself carry the page, with typography and scroll pacing doing the quiet work around it.

Tattoo portfolios live or die by how well they showcase the work, so the design deliberately stays out of the way: a restrained dark palette, editorial type pairings, and generous negative space around every piece.

Scroll interactions are used to control pacing rather than to impress — each new piece of art reveals at a deliberate rhythm, giving each one room to be looked at instead of competing for attention with the next.

Typography carries more of the identity here than on most portfolio sites — a serif display face for the artist's name paired with a quieter body face for descriptions, echoing the fine-line, high-detail style of the tattoo work itself rather than a generic "creative portfolio" template look.

Contact and booking sit deliberately low-key: a client arriving here is usually already convinced by the work, so the design gets out of the way and lets the portfolio close the decision on its own.
