About this project
An experimental landing page built to push what a browser tab can feel like — surreal 3D-style imagery, an immersive sci-fi atmosphere, and interaction that rewards curiosity rather than following a predictable scroll.
Beyond exists as a showcase piece rather than a client deliverable — a space to explore how far an interactive landing page can go stylistically before it stops feeling like "a website" and starts feeling like a scene.
The build focuses on atmosphere first: layered visuals, deliberate pacing, and interactive elements that respond to the visitor rather than sitting static, all built with plain HTML/CSS/JS and GSAP rather than a heavier 3D engine.
A lone figure framed against an oversized planet does the emotional work that most landing pages try to force through copywriting — scale and stillness communicate "this is bigger than you" before a single word of the page has been read. Interface elements are styled like mission equipment overlays, reinforcing the sci-fi framing down to the smallest label.
It's deliberately the least commercial project in the portfolio — proof that "interactive landing page" doesn't have to mean "conversion funnel," and a testing ground for techniques that later show up, toned down, in client work.
